How to Start a Session

Step-by-step guide to setting up your first interview session with loqra.

Before You Start

Make sure you have:

  • A loqra account (free or paid)
  • Your interview platform open (Zoom, Google Meet, or Teams)
  • A working microphone

Starting a Session

  1. Open the loqra dashboard — go to loqra.pro/dashboard and sign in
  2. Click "New Session" — select the interview type: Coding, System Design, or Behavioral
  3. Grant microphone access — loqra will prompt you for permission the first time
  4. Start your interview — once your session is active, loqra listens in the background

The overlay will appear in the corner of your screen. It stays collapsed until a question is detected.

During the Session

When a question is detected, a hint card expands automatically. You can:

  • Read the hint and use it as a memory prompt
  • Dismiss it with Alt + C or by clicking the close button
  • Hide the overlay entirely with Alt + H

Ending a Session

Click "End Session" in the dashboard or press Alt + Q. The session is saved to your history with a summary of the questions detected and hints surfaced. No audio is retained.

Tips

  • Test your audio before the interview — run a 30-second test session the day before to confirm loqra is picking up your audio correctly
  • Position the overlay on a secondary monitor or in a corner of your primary screen where it won't be captured by screen share
  • Use it for memory prompts, not scripts — glancing at a hint card briefly is natural; reading it verbatim is not
